BRUCE, Freddy Lee – Of Flint, age 71, died Monday, January 8, 2018 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, His Brother, Reggie P. Bruce officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Visitation 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Freddy was born in Florence, Alabama on January 15, 1946, the son of the late John Gilbert and Winnie Lee (White) Bruce.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Topeka.
Mr. Bruce retired from GM with over 30 years of service.
Surviving are daughter, Amy (Mike) Alexander;
son, Freddy (Sara) Bruce, Jr.;
grandchildren, Eva and Ellery Alexander, Brendan Bruce;
siblings, James M. (Joy) Bruce,
Reggie P. (Janie) Bruce and Virginia A. Liles;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Gilbert, Jr.
