ARMOR, SHIRLEY JOANN - Of Davison, age 81, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus with her children surrounding her on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
Funeral service will be held on Shirley and John’s wedding anniversary, Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 4 p.m. at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Scott Snyder officiating.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Those desiring may make contributions to South Baptist Church.
Shirley was born in Perry, Michigan on December 1, 1942, the daughter of Warner J and Lois Lucille Lobdell.
On May 25, 1985 she married John Armor. They enjoyed 29 years of marriage, spending their winters in Florida.
She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc, current member of South Baptist Church and loved her Lord Jesus.
Shirley was an avid sewer, crafter, painter and reader. She loved playing cards and crocheting sweater sets for all her grandchildren.
Shirley worked for GM Fisher Body Coldwater Road for 17 years.
She loved her family fiercely.
Shirley is survived by children, Chris and wife Karen Dungerow, Debra and husband Keith Hancock,
Jacki and husband Tadd Holleman, Tricia and husband Joe Baumbach;
grandchildren, Joshua and wife Brittany, Carolann and husband William, Alicia and husband Scott, Robert and wife MaryLou, Nicole, Jessica and husband Duncan, Joey, Carly, Sophie, Caleb and Samantha;
great-grandchildren, Olivia, Lyla and Jordyn; Lucy, Lydia, and Shepherd; Genevieve and Wolf; Jackson, William, Kennedy, and soon to be twins; and Hailey;
her beloved cat, Lily Kay.
She was preceded in death by her beloved, John; son, Bob; her parents and siblings.
