STEPHENSON, Kathleen "Katie" – of Clio, age 82, died Thursday, March 6, 2014 at St. John Providence Hospital in Detroit. A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Kathleen was born May 12, 1931 in Flint to the late Michael and Mary (Wasylenko) Romaniuk. She married Vernon "Bud" Stephenson on October 10, 1948. Kathleen worked for the food services at Buick Motor Division for 10 years and helped raise her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, decorating, travelling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are: husband, Vernon; children, Christina (Gordon) Smith of East Jordan, MI and Venice, FL, Randal (Tamara) Stephenson of New York City, NY; 4 grandchildren, Scott (Shelby) Smith, Stephen Smith (fiancé Sarah), Gabriella and Miles Stephenson; great-grandson, Desmond; sister, Jean (Joe) Mark of Flushing; many other family and friends.
