James Joseph Krupp
Age 89 of New Lothrop passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 in the comfort of his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at St. Michael’s Church of Maple Grove. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, March 8 at Nelson-House Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel, with a Scripture service at 7:00pm and a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8:00pm.
James was born on July 11, 1926 to Charles and Julia (Scherer) Krupp in Maple Grove Township. He graduated from Maple Grove High School. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II. On August 16, 1952, he married the love of his life, Esther Moulton, at St. Michael’s Church.
James worked as a farmer for most of his life. He was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Church of Maple Grove, Knights of Columbus, and the VFW. During his life, he enjoyed fishing in his pond, he loved animals, and most of all, he loved being with his family.
James is survived by his sons, Wayne (MaryAnn) Krupp, Charlie (Carol) Krupp, Ed (Dorie) Krupp, Jim (Debbie) Krupp, and Allan (Becky) Krupp; his daughters, Diane (Joe) Elmhirst, Karen (Ray) Wendling, Beverly (Tim) Barancik, Linda (Tim) Ebenhoeh, and Elaine (Rod) Kulhanek; and his daughter-in-law, Diane Rivetta Krupp; as well as his 29 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife, Esther Krupp; his sons, Keith, Stephen, and John Krupp; his parents; and his brother, Br. Charles Krupp.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s and Cancer Society.
