BARRETT, Donald - Of Flint, age 82, died Sunday, November 6, 2016
at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 10am Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Jerry Hubbard officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to VFW Post #1452 in Clio.
Visitation 2-8pm Wednesday and 9:30am Thursday at the funeral home.
Donald was born in Flint on July 16, 1934. He was a veteran of the Korean War and received 2 Bronze Stars, United Nations Service Medals and National Defense Service Medals.
Surviving are children, Donald (Sue) Barrett of Flint, Margaret (Jerry) Teague of Flint, Karen Hall-Dwayne of Mt. Morris, David (Beth) Barrett of Kaleva, MI and Theresa Carll of Flint;
14 grandchildren and 29, great-grandchildren;
siblings, Juanita Bradshaw of Clio, Jane Barrett of Clio and Beverly (Frank) Lloyd of Owosso;
He was preceded in death by sons, Paul and Richard, parents, Stanley and Rosetta Barrett, brothers, Bill, Bob, RoN, Chuck and Kenny, and sisters, Mary, ALnita and Lois.
