Age 62, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, December 5, 2015 at home with her family by her side. Susan Carr was born on June 26, 1953 in Alpena, MI to Dorothy (Gennrich) Carr and the late Clarence “Bud” Carr. She was married to Larry Elliott on May 24, 1975, who survives her. Susan was employed by the Frankenmuth Bible Church. She was the founder, director and lead teacher of Children’s Garden Preschool. As a member of the Frankenmuth Bible Church, Susan served on the missions committee as well as various other committees. She taught dog obedience in the Frankenmuth area for more than 30 years and was also a licensed day care operator for 15 years. Susan was always quick to say “Every girl needs a horse” and loved her two horses. She was quick to point out she’d had her horses longer than she’d had Larry.
Surviving besides her husband Larry, are 2 sons, Andrew (Amanda) Elliott of Saginaw Township, MI and Todd (Leslie) Elliott of Battle Creek, MI; 7 grandchildren Mason, Conrad, Madalyn, Jack, Joshua, Alexander and Emma; 2 sisters, Karen (Eric) Schwochow of Toledo, OH and Joanne (Burt) Stone of Alpena, MI; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Frankenmuth Bible Church, 565 Churchgrove, Frankenmuth, MI. Rev. Joseph Berkobien will officiate with cremation to follow. Susan’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Family Life Radio.
