CROSS, Phyllis A. – Of Flint, age 97, died Saturday, June 7, 2014
Cremation has taken place.
Phyllis was born in Alpena, Michigan on July 3, 1916, the daughter of Charles and Nellie Hines, and was a resident of the Flint area most of her life. She married Lloyd U. Cross on June 7, 1937.
Mrs. Cross was self-employed and also by Mott Children's Health Center.
Surviving are four children, Shelba Cook,
Dwayne and wife Judy,
Keith,
Shirlee and husband Roger Battermann;
10 grandchildren, Kelly Hassons, Jesica Sadler, Nathan Cook, Blake Cross Battermann, Gabriel Cross, Garred Cross, Katie Cross, Sandra Erickson, Wesley Cross and Nicole Yambrick;
16 great-grandchildren and
sister, Marjorie "Alzoia" Smith of Alpena.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, on November 26, 2000 and grandson, Dr. Michael D. Cross.
