WELD, Mary Ann -- Age 75, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, February 18, 2016. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM on Monday, February 22, 2016 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek. Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Interment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Saturday, and 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek with a vigil service taking place at 7PM Sunday evening. Visitation will also be 10 AM until the time of service Monday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Swartz Creek Community Food Basket.
Mary Ann was born February 6, 1941 in Burton, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Green) Kerspilo. She graduated from Holy Redeemer High School in 1959. She married Gerald Frederick Weld in Flint on May 12, 1962. Together, they've resided in Swartz Creek since 1971. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church and enjoyed her grandchildren immensely.
Surviving are: husband of 53 years, Jerry; children, Tim Weld of Fenton, Terry (Katie) Weld of Lapeer, Todd (Melanie) Weld of Grand Blanc; sister Lucy (Pete) Alcser of Flushing, sisters-in-law Geri and Judy; grandchildren, Courtney Chambers, Alex Weld, Nick Weld, EsteeWeld and Skylar Weld; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tammy on June 13, 2013; brothers, Jack and Tom.
