HUFF, Vance Lee - Age 67, of Fenton, died Saturday, December 10, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Rev. Dave Myers and Rev. Donald Neuville officiating. Burial in Tyrone Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 5-8 PM and Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the family or Linden Presbyterian Church.
Vance was born August 22, 1949 in Holly, the son of Harold and Doris (Hubert) Huff. He was a 1968 graduate of Fenton High School. He married Noreen Stehle December 20, 1980 in Linden. He was a resident of Fenton his entire life. Vance retired in 2010 from Consumers Energy after 42 years of service. He was a member of Linden Presbyterian Church and the Fenton Eagles. He donated his time and services to Fenton Community Schools, by changing the light bulbs on the football field. He was inducted into the Fenton High School Sports Hall of Fame for the 1967 and 1968 years that he played football. He enjoyed sports, camping, lighthouses, jigsaw puzzles, and his dogs.
Surviving are: his wife, Noreen; children, Dawn Huff of Clarkston, Andrea (Drew) Stepp of Okeechobee, FL, Vance E. (Tiffany) Huff of Davison, and Bradlee (Melissa) Huff of Linden; grandchildren, Nathan, Joseph, Dominic, Carson, Aiden, and Mackenzie; great grandchild, Trace; sisters, Diana Baker; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
