STEWART, Ronald Duane – of Flint, age 61, passed away June 5, 2018 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, June 11, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Elder Lola Robson officiating. Cremation to follow the service. Visitation will be from 12-3 PM & 5-8 PM Sunday. A Memorial Service, under the auspices of Davison F.O.E. Aerie #3589, will be held at 7 PM on Sunday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Ron was born in Flint, MI on September 13, 1956, son of the late Edward and Wanda (Shumate) Stewart. He married Evelyn Self on October 18, 2003 at Eastside Community of Christ. Ron was a Tool Maker for GM and retired in August of 2017, after many years of service. He was a member of Davison F.O.E. Aerie #3589. Ron enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, hiking, hunting and gardening. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Ron is survived by his wife, Evelyn; children, Jenna (Jamie) Morrison, Michelle (Brian) Showers and Laura Stewart; grandchildren, Brenden, Joseph, Michael, Addyson and Katelyn; sister, Kathleen Stewart-Fry; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Shelli (Ron), Dana, Jason and Johnny; great-nieces and great-nephews, Payton, Sophia, CJ, Michael, Miah and Jacob; many other beloved family members. He was preceded in death by brother, Kevin Stewart.
