WOOLSON, Donald H., Jr. – of Clio, age 75, died on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church - 230 E. Vienna St., in Clio. Rev. Fr. Kenneth Coughlin officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of Mass at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church.
Don was born February 3, 1945 in Owosso, Michigan to the late Donald and Grace (McBride) Sr. He graduated from Clio High School in 1963 and later went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, and Master’s Degree in Education from Michigan State University. Don married the love of his life, Nancy Zilinski, on August 19, 1967. He was a teacher, coach, and Assistant Principal at Howell High School for many years. Don was also a teacher with the Department of Defense Education System in Bahrain and Italy. He was a member of SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Don enjoyed golfing and watching University of Michigan Football. Above all, Don loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are: Wife, Nancy Woolson; Sons: Daniel (Veronica) Woolson, Darren (Nicole) Woolson, and David (Najla) Woolson; Grandchildren: Christopher Woolson, Dominic Woolson, Evan Woolson, Frederick Woolson, Isabella Woolson, Jackson Woolson, Laith Woolson, and Liam Woolson; Brother in law, Bobby (Gina) Zilinski; Many other loving family members and dear friends.
