BONDY, Robert L. of Flint, age 87, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Regency of Grand Blanc. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc with Chaplain Hank Messing officiating. Burial follows at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Bondy was born September 1, 1930 in Clio, Michigan and was raised by his loving grandmother, Johanna Bondy. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Okinawa. Robert married the love of his life Henrietta Arthene Hamden in 1951 and she preceded him in death in 2007. He was employed at Flint Truck and Bus retiring after 38 years of service. After retirement he enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Lewiston. He also enjoyed spending time playing Sequence with his family. He was the greatest father anyone could wish for. Surviving are: daughters, Linda Lee Shingler, Brenda (Gary) Van Wagoner, and Sandy (John) Walters; grandchildren, Stacy (Jonathan), Craig (Kyla), Christopher (Cristy), Courtney (R.J.), and Kaitlyn; great-grandchildren, Christine, Nolan, Gavin, Brode, and Cameron; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
