REIF Sr., James E. – age 78 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in Burton, MI on March 3, 2017. Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on March 8, 2017 with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Eastwood United Methodist church - 3312 Whittier Avenue Flint, MI with Pastor Ralph Peiper officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 3 PM – 8 PM at Brown Funeral Home – 1480 East Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI. James was born in Flint, MI on September 9, 1938 to the late Raymond and Helen Reif. James married the love of his life Doris “Elaine” Gregg in Flint, MI in 1958, together they created a family full of love and happiness. The moments James spent with his family are the ones he treasured the most. He worked for over 50 years as a talented printer. He started this passion at Chevrolet, and continued to share this art with many local businesses such as Brown Funeral Home on Davison Road. James would share his faith with many as a member of the Giedeons International. James was a wonderful man who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; children: James Jr., Jeannie, Steve, and David; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy; and his brothers.
