?MORGAN, Shirley Ann (Collison) - Age 70, of Fenton, died peacefully at home Friday, November 25, 2016. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, December 2, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N Adelaide Street, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W Silver Lake Road, Fenton, with a rosary at 6:30 PM Wednesday; and visitation 10-11 AM Friday at the church. There will be No Thursday visitation due to the Advent by Candlelight service at St. John, a service that was so dear to Shirley's heart. Those desiring may make contributions to St. John School, Fenton.
Shirley was born March 22, 1946 in Flint, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Armstrong) Collison. Shirley was a graduate of Holy Redeemer and went on to join the Dominican Sisters at Marywood at Aquinas College. She married the love of her life, Donald Morgan on March 30, 1968; and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2015. She had a successful working career with her husband in business with the 7-11 store and Morgans Market, and with Corbel. After retirement Shirley was the office director for her daughter's business Morgan's Early Learning Center. She was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where she also enjoyed being involved in CHRP.
Surviving are: 4 children, Melanie (Scott) McPeake, Marla (Mike) Hagan, Michelle Morgan, and Montgomery (Jennifer) Morgan, all of Fenton; 6 grandchildren, Method, Libby, Mary, Morgan, Charlie, and Molly; siblings, Thomas Collison II, Mary Prain, Kathryn Hawes, and Susie Matison; several nieces and nephews; many loved siblings of her husband Don; and many dear friends that meant so much to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Don.
