SMORCH, Dorothy A. – of Davison, age 87, passed away at her residence surrounded by her family on November 2, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 PM Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6336 Roberta St., Burton; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Private burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be 12-8 PM Monday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM Monday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to Mass on Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Outreach East, Davison.
Dorothy was born in Flint, MI on December 11, 1930, daughter of the late William and Caroline (Bronikowska) Bodek. She was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Burton for over 20 years. Over the years, she was a member of the choir, altar society, Blessed Pauline Society and helped prepare many funeral luncheons. During these years, she was blessed with the friendship of many who shared her love of giving. Dorothy also enjoyed bingo, where again, she found new friends.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of over 6 decades, Frank; son, Dennis (Valerie) Smorch of Beals, ME; daughter, Jillian (Dan) Olmack of Rochester Hills, MI; son, Ted Smorch of Burton; grandchildren, Lesley (Mike) Lewark, Scott Smorch, Devin Olmack and Jeffrey Olmack; great-granddaughter, Lily Lewark; sister, Carolina Herman; many beloved nieces and nephews and many friends who touched her life in so many ways. She was preceded in death by her special granddaughter, Kyle Marie Olmack.
