LANG, Robert L. - of Mt. Morris, age 74, died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Bay City Regional (McClaren) Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday May 21, 2015 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio from 3-8PM. Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Robert was born January 7, 1941 in Flint to the late Percy and Evelyn (Haviland) Lang. He lived in Mt. Morris for many years and also in Gladwin, Mi. He retired from GM in 2011 after 23 ½ years of service, primarily as a test build mechanic. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and a master mechanic. He also enjoyed woodworking and built a number of cabins and houses. Robert enjoyed time with family.
Surviving are: children – Donald (Randa) Lang of Clio, Philip Lang of Grayling, Robert Lang of Flint, Michael (Paula) Lang of Mt. Morris; 10 grandchildren; Vincent (Erin) Moreno, Andrew Lang, Chasten Lang, Allison Gillie (Companion Alex Nelson), Courty Gillie Thompson, Kris Thompson, Patrick Lang, Meliyah Lang, Conner Lang, Ray (Shawna) Monroe; great grand children; Lily Grace and Castor; daughter-in-law, Candice Lang of Montrose; siblings: brothers: Charlie Lang, Ronald (Diane) Lang; sisters: Doreen (Jerry) Brown, Joann (Bill) Tappen, Janice (Mike) West, Janet Adkins; many nieces and nephews.
