TREADWAY, Joy Beverly - Age 82, of Swartz Creek, our dearest mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, entered into Heaven December 3, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Funeral services will be 11AM Friday, December 6 at First Baptist Church, 5372 Seymour Rd, Swartz Creek, with visitation starting at 9AM until time of service, with pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Interment will be at Bendle Cemetery, immediately following services. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday, 4-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Home, 8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Joy was born August 24, 1937 in Swartz Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Marion and Donna Snell. She married the love of her life, Joe Treadway on August 24, 1955 in Swartz Creek. She worked for the Swartz Creek School District for 25 years, until she retired in 1997. She was a member of the Swartz Creek First Baptist Church. Joy enjoyed crafts, gardening, time with her sisters, and decorating. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and traveling to visit relatives. She is survived by children; Jim (Kelly) of Gaines, John (Dorene) of Alaska, Donna (Eric) Pierce of Georgia, and Deborah (Jeff) Smith of Hawaii; 11 grandchildren, Meggan (Will), Kate (Tom), Nick (Peggy), Amber, Josh (Jenna), Kristy (Alex), Jenny (Kyle), Alex (Danielle), Shelby, Jesse, Breanna; 9 great-grandchildren, Skylar, Decklan, Dae Lynn, Vynessa, Kameron, Lincoln, Lakein, Sutton, Elias; sister, Irene (Dick) Shaw; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Donna Snell; husband, Joe Treadway; son, William Treadway; sister, Jeanette Farthing.
