BACHAKES, THEODORE JR. - Of Flushing Township, MI, age 64, passed away peacefully at home with his devoted wife at his side on Monday, October 07, 2019.
Visitation will be held from 3:00pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday, October 09, 2019 with a Trisagion service at 7:00pm at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 W. Hill Road, Flint, Michigan.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 2245 E. Baldwin Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan, Father John Artemas officiating.
Cremation to follow.
Theodore was born on June 03, 1955 in Burbank, California, the son of Theodore Sr. and Katheryn (Menoutes) Bachakes.
Theodore earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science and history from Albion College in 1977. Theodore retired from Genesee County Road Commission in 2014. Theodore married Vicki (Storm) on April 20, 2000 on the island of St. Kitts. Theodore enjoyed spending summers boating at the family cottage on Mullett Lake in Indian River, Michigan.
Theodore is survived by his wife, Vicki;
his children: Kristina (Bruce) Couturier of Round Lake, IL and Theodore M. (Jenny) Bachakes of Canton, MI;
grandchildren: Tyler, Abigale, Zackary, Griffin and Madelyn Couturier;
mother, Katheryn;
sisters: Paula (Anthony) Melonakos of Monroe, MI and Patricia Joseph of Fenton, MI;
in-laws: Charles and Beverly Storm of Flushing, MI and Matt, Ashley, Grace and Alison Storm of Normal, IL, and Airedale, Penny Whistle.
He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Sr.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church Mortgage Fund.
