CASON, Stanley O. - age 85 of Flint Twp. died October 27, 2018. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be 4PM Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Trinity Episcopal Church 745 E. Main St. Flushing. Pastor Barbara Cavin officiating. Visitation will be 3PM until time of service Saturday at church. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel. Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly at a later date.. Contributions may be made to Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
Stanley was born August 11, 1933 in Batesville, Arkansas the son of Nolen and Alene Cason. He married Jean A, Pierce in Flint on July 1, 1966. He proudly served in the US Army as a Corporal during the Korean War. Stanley was employed as a Mail Handler with the US Postal Service for 37 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 294 in Swartz Creek. He was a former member of Crest Ridge Gardens Community Club. Stanley also was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Flushing. He enjoyed riding his Gold Wing Motorcycle, bowling, and spending time at his cabin in Lakeview.
Surviving are: wife, Jean; children, Darcey Brodeur, Gary (Jennifer) Wilson; grandchildren, Nicole, Branden, Andrew, Derek, Thomas, John, and Opal; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Doyne (Nancy) Cason, and William(Lisa) Cason. Several nieces and nephews.
