Dylan Dean Forgie (Alaska) of Flint, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2018, at the age of 24. Funeral service will be held 1 pm, Friday, January 26, 2018 at Faith Tabernacle, 1225 S. Center Rd. Burton, MI. Family will receive visitors from 11-1 pm Friday at the church, and from 3-8 pm, Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI. Pastor Bruce Garner officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery, committal performed by Pastor Ed Watts. Dylan, the son of Daniel and Michele (Melvin) Forgie was born August 10, 1993 at Fort Polk, Louisiana. He was a vibrant young man, full of life and love. Dylan’s infectious smile, joyful personality, fearless demeanor and unwavering love for family and friends exemplify who he was and how he lived. His zeal for life and genuine love for friends and family was beyond measure, yet none held his heart like Ariyah Anne, his 3 year old daughter. There was nothing Dylan would not do, there was no place he wouldn’t go, no distance to far to travel for his beloved Ariyah. He cherishes and dearly loves his mother and sisters with a bond no trial could ever break. The times he shared with his niece (Kaylyn) and nephews (Braylen & Dom) were magical, he was the sparkle in their eyes, the smile on their faces, and the joy in their laughter. Skilled with his hands, Dylan was a proficient welder, accomplished carpenter and often displayed his extraordinary artistic skills with pen, pencil, and paint. At just 24 years of age Dylan was well traveled and experienced beyond most his age. He fished Alaska’s icy waters, hunted the swamps of Texas and even visited foreign lands. Dylan is survived by his daughter Ariyah Anne, parents Daniel and Michele, stepmother Tammy, sisters Brittany and Allyson, stepbrother Seth, niece Kaylyn, nephews Braylen and Dom, grandparents, great grandmother several uncles, aunts, cousins and countless friends.
