SOPER, Kurt D. – of Davison, age 75, was reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Marjorie on January 26, 2018 at his residence. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 6 PM Friday, February 2, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor James Goff officiating. Visitation will be from 2 PM until time of service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases Association in Kurt’s memory.
Kurt was born in Flint, MI on May 16, 1942, son of the late Keith and Dorothy (Forth) Soper. He married Marjorie Ann Milkovich in Detroit on May 21, 1966 and they were married for more than 50 years when she preceded him in death on February 4, 2017. Kurt was a High School Principal with the Flint Public Schools and he was Davison Township Supervisor. Kurt resided in Davison his entire life. He loved to serve his community and was only away to attend college. Kurt is a graduate of The United States Merchant Marine Academy located in Kings Point, NY.
Kurt is survived by his sons, Matthew and Michael Soper; brother, Gary (Diane) Soper; brother-in-law, Jon Milkovich; sister-in-law, Rosemary Kornacki; two special family members, Mariano and Carl Reyes; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by brother, Jim Soper.
