VUILLEMOT, Sheral Maxine - age 88 of Swartz Creek, passed away October 22, 2024. A memorial service will be held 12 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at NewLife Community Lutheran Church, 7235 Torrey Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473. The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 12 PM Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org). Sheral was born March 13, 1936, in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of James A. and Bertha (Jenkins) McKinney. She married Robert Lee Vuillemot, and he preceded her in death on July 14, 2011. Sheral received a master's degree in education from Michigan State University and retired from Swartz Creek Community Schools where she was a teacher for many years. She was a founding member of New Life Community Lutheran Church. Sheral was very creative, she enjoyed painting, drawing, quilting and sewing. Sheral was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are: daughter, Leslie (Robert) Shafer; son, James (Linda) Vuillemot; grandchildren, Whitney Schafer, Drew Schafer, Erica (Ryan) Carey, Kyle Brandon, Joel (Hannah) Brandon and Megan (Sonny) LaVigne; great-grandchildren, McCoy, Bode, Dean, Evie, Raegan, Kylee, Paige, and Circe; special relatives, Irene Lange and Gail Trill; special friend and colleague, Pam White. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bertha McKinney and husband, Robert Vuillemot. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473.
