James “Ron” Miller, age 85, of Columbiaville died October 3, 2018 at Brookhaven Assisted Living.
James was born July 9, 1933 in Goodrich, Michigan to the late James and Lucille Miller. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He married Beverly Congdon on May 8, 1952 in Angolia, Indiana. He retired in 1992 from Chevy “Down In The Hole”, and was a past member of the Lakeville Free Methodist Church. He enjoyed auto repair, playing church softball, but most of all spending time with his family.
James is survived by his children: Patricia (Archie) Leitch, Carol (Timothy) McTaggart, Ronald (Esther) Miller, Betty (Shelby) Hosner, Michael (Shari) Miller, Ed miller, 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, close friend James Sawyer that served beside him in the army, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and all of his siblings.
Funeral service 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where friends may visit Friday 3:00 to 9:00 PM. Pastor Larry Kluck officiating. Interment Meadow Lawn Cemetery. A special thanks to the staff of Brookhaven for caring for our father, and to Residential Hospice for your compassion and help as Dad’s health declined.
