SIMPSON, David Kinloch – of Davison, age 82, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Genesys Health Park. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Monday, May 14, 2018 at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 6100 Richfield Rd., Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Pete Scribner officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.

David was born in Flint, MI on August 7, 1935, son of the late Alexander and Helen (Donaldson) Simpson. He married Sue Woolley. She preceded him on July 28, 2004. He later married Katheryn Burmeister on June 7, 2009. David was a charter member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church. He was employed by the Flint Community Schools for 31 years, retiring December 31, 1993. David was a volunteer at Crossroads Village and Brian’s House Hospice for many years. He was a Mason at the Charles A. Durand Lodge, where he proudly received his 60-year pin.

David is survived by his wife, Katheryn Simpson; children, David (Corinne) Simpson of Fenton, Mary (James) Freel of Thiensville, WI, Mark (Kristine Lickfelt) Simpson of Swartz Creek, Tom (Lori) Burmeister and Randy (Laura) Burmeister; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; dear friends, Ron and Patti Schacker. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Ann Simpson; brother, James Simpson; sister, Helen Peters.
