ASH, Betty Lou (Freese) – of Flint, MI, age 84, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 North Gale Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Jason Crum officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Davison Missionary Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, in Betty’s memory.
Betty was born in Flint, MI on March 6, 1936, daughter of the late Hugh and Dorothy (Roney) Freese. She married Lawrence Ash on November 1, 1974 and he preceded her in death on February 10, 2019. Betty enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping for antiques and loved collecting coca-cola memorabilia. She never passed up a good rummage sale!
Betty is survived by 4 sons, Claude Ash, Edward (Laura) Ash, Noel (Dawn) Ash and Larry (Stacy) Ash; 2 step-sons, Howard Ash and David (Karen) Ash; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Dorothy Freese; husband, Lawrence Ash and sister, Joan Hubbard.
