Dorothy I. Kennell

Age 99, of Owosso, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 peacefully at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am Tuesday August 25, 2015 at the First Church of Nazarene with Reverend Jim Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Valley Cemetery in Marion, Michigan. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Monday August 24, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm.

Dorothy was born April 25, 1916 in Chippewa County, the daughter of Morgan and Maude (Lawrence) Wickman.

Dorothy was a member of the Senior Group at Owosso Wesleyan Church.

She married Ervin Harold Kennell on October 30, 1937 in Marion, Michigan. He predeceased her in 2003.

Dorothy worked at Owosso College for 13 years as the Food Service Manager.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Robert (Joyce) Kennell of Owosso; daughter in law; Sandra Kennell of East Lansing; 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; sister Mrs. Basil (Jean) Smith of Sault St. Marie and Laura Ogle of Birmingham, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; son Donald; sisters Hazel (Leroy) Warner of Sault St. Marie; Margery (William) Klintworth of Mims, Florida; and brother Morgan (Olive) Wickman Jr. of Tenessee; and brother in law Edward Ogle of Florida.
