READMAN, Karen M. – of Flint, MI, age 66, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors 3-8 PM Tuesday, May 9, 2017 and 10-11 AM Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in Karen’s memory.
Karen was born in Flint, MI on August 24, 1950, daughter of the late Jack and Joyce (Foltz) Readman. She was a Class of 1968 graduate of Davison High School and then earned a Bachelors Degree in Education from Michigan State University. Karen was an educator with Flint Community Schools, retiring in 2014 after 38 years of service. She was a mother and grandmother in spirit to her nieces and nephews, who adored her and will miss her greatly.
Karen is survived by 3 brothers, Ron (Kelley) Readman, Larry (Dee) Readman and Wayne (Debbie) Readman; sister, Pam (Don) Colwell; 4 nephews, Rick and Mark Colwell, Tyler and Eric Readman; 5 great-nephews; 4 great-nieces; many other loving family members and friends.
