HUTCHISON, Donald Lewis – of Clio, age 86, died Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Medilodge of Montrose. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Clio, Michigan. Rev. Cathi Huvaere officiating. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 11:00 Am until time of service at 12:00 PM at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Bethany United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Donald was born July 26, 1932 in Flint, Michigan to the late Frederick and Hazel (Arnold) Hutchison. He grew up in Flushing, Michigan and attended Flushing High School. On May 14, 1960 he married Janet Grove in Clio, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 1988 he worked for GM at the Engine Plant with 33 years of service. Donald was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church and served as a Board Member. He also helped with the youth group at the church and was a member of the Clio Lions Club. He enjoyed boating, bowling, fishing, camping and hunting. He also liked to travel with his wife and spend time at their cottage in Standish, Michigan. The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to the staff at Cranberry Park, Becky Tilger and staff at Medilodge of Montrose, and all of their friends and family.
Surviving are: Wife, Janet; Children, Gary (PennLynn) Hutchison, Tracy (Ray) Yack; Grandchildren, Jamey (Tracy) Hutchison, Stacy (Jeff) Masters, Jason (Samantha) West, Eric (Jamie) West; Great Grandchildren, Samantha Hutchison, Victoria Hardy, Joshua Hutchison, Jonathan Hardy, Charlee West; Sister, Janet Correll. He was preceded in death by his parents; Daughter, Sheryl Hutchison; Nephew, Rick Correll.
