Bowman, Walter L. – Of Ludington, formerly of Flint, age 78, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Brian Blount officiating.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday April 12, 2018 at the funeral home.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery with Military Honors under the auspices of Chevrolet VFW post #3087.

Walter was born on February 16, 1940 in Flint, MI the son of the late Luther and Grace (Woodard) Bowman.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962 with the Air Police (Military).
Walter married Katherine Gregg on May 4, 1963.
Mr. Bowman started his employment at Corunna Police Department and he spent most of his employed years at Buick Motor Division. He retired in 1995 and treasured the friendships he had made there.
He was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist church in Ludington, MI.
Surviving are wife, Katherine, daughter Sherry Bowman, son Steven (Dawn) Bowman, grand daughter Jennifer (Brett) Fresco, sister Bobbie Phillips, sister-in-law Marjorie Bowman, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father Luther, mother Grace, step father Curmon Hodge, brother Arles and brother-in-law Robert Phillips.
