FELDHAHN, E. Roberta - Age 89, of Fenton, died Sunday, March 6, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 11, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Jimmie Whitaker officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 4-9 PM and Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Roberta was born June 2, 1926 in Howell the daughter of Forest and Esther (Bessert) Lyons. She was a 1944 graduate from Hartland High School and received a Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University. She married William A. Feldhahn July 1, 1950 in Howell. She retired in 1995 from Carmen Park Elementary, Carman Ainsworth School District after 47 years as a teacher. Roberta has been a member of Bethesda Temple in Flint for over 30 years. She also was an avid runner; running the Crim Race more than a dozen times, finishing as high as third in her age class.
Surviving are: her husband of 65 years, William; 3 sons, John Feldhahn of Lansing, Gary and wife Pat Feldhahn of Lansing, and Jeff and wife Shaunti Feldhahn of Atlanta, GA; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Madagin of Sarasota, FL and Ruth Anne Rowan of Bloomfield Hills; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Billy Feldhahn; and brother, Sidney Lyons. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
