STEPHENS, David – of Davison, age 90, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 8, 2025 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 5073 Daly Blvd., Flint, MI 48506; Pastor Jeffrey Frechette, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Davison Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 3-7 PM on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, beginning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or SAD (Shelter Animal Donations), in David’s memory.
David was born in Belmore, Ohio on November 3, 1934, son of the late Fred and Kathryn (Bacon) Stephens. He married Mary Ann Rohmann on October 15, 1954, and she preceded him in death on February 6, 2017. David retired from GM after 38 years of dedicated service and continued to give back to his community by serving on the Kearsley School Board and the Genesee Township Board. A devoted member of St. Mark Lutheran Church for 63 years, his faith and kindness touched many. He had a passion for golfing, bowling, and playing euchre with his buddies, always bringing laughter and camaraderie wherever he went. Some of his happiest moments were spent with his grandchildren and going hunting with his son. David had a great sense of humor and a saying for everything—his wit and wisdom will be dearly missed. His legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family and community will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
David is survived by his loving children: Jerry Sue McFarland, Cheryl Tabor, Mike (Cindy) Stephens, Debbie Stephens, and Tracee (Bryant) Walker; grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Nicholas, Hannah and Emma Walker; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Luke Smith; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by siblings: Rodney Stephens and Susan Stephens.
