Adelina Deleon Limon- Age 91, of Flint died Monday, January 14, 2019 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI. Family will receive visitors from 11am until time of service at 1:00pm. Deacon Michael Dear officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Adelina was born on April 16, 1927 in Pleasanton,Texas, daughter of Antonio and Josefa (Martinez) Deleon. She married Luis Limon Jr. on February 19, 1946 in Texas. Adelina was known for her kindness and her ability to cook delicious Mexican food. She worked as a cook in several Mexican restaurants in the Flint area throughout her life. Adelina loved to spend time with her family listening to music and playing Loteria with the kids. Adelina is survived by her children John (Annette) Limon, Rosa (Limon) Murphy, Joe (Rebecca) Limon, Enrique (Michelle) Limon; 17 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and sister Leonor (Deleon) Calderon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Luis Limon Jr, daughter Yolanda (Limon) Avila, grand daughter Roberta (Limon) Zavala; son in law John Murphy, daughter in law Penny Limon, brothers Alfredo Deleon, Ramon Deleon, Casimiro Deleon, Valentine Deleon and Antonio Deleon. The family would like to extend special thanks to Michelle Limon for selflessly caring for Adelina as she became unable to care for herself. Words cannot express the gratitude felt by all. There will be a luncheon following burial at VFW 5065 Saginaw Rd, Flint, MI 48507. |
