WHITMAN, Frederick “Fred” William – of Davison, age 57, passed away November 25, 2014 at Genesys Convalescent Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 PM Saturday, November 29, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison ; Rev. Fr. Carl Simon celebrant. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM – 8 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Saturday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Fred was born in Flint, MI on September 12, 1957, son of Clare and Vivian (Nickerson) Whitman. He graduated from Davison High School in 1975. Fred married Julie Ann DeWitt on July 16, 2011 in Davison. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and a Harley enthusiast.
Fred is survived by his wife, Julie; father, Clare Whitman; brothers, Jonathan (Joan) Whitman and Brian (Donna) Whitman; daughters, Alicia and Christina; step daughters, Rachel (Mark) and Shannon; step son Kyle; grandchildren, Brittany, Ethan, Miranda, RJ, Tyler and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Parker, Oliver and Addison. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Whitman; brothers, Dennis and Craig Whitman; his first wife, Monica Whitman; granddaughter, Monica.
