Allan Andrew Skunda, age 81 of Flint, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020. He was born on August 28, 1938 in Flint, Michigan to parents Andy and Gerry (Torrey) Skunda. He married Chrystal (Collins) Skunda on November 1, 1957 in Flint, Michigan. Al worked at AC Spark Plug for 40 years. He enjoyed going to the casino, duck hunting with his son Keith, and deer hunting and playing cards with his friends. Al is survived by his children: Susan (Tim) Snyder, Keith (Marianne) Skunda, Sandra Carter; grandchildren: Nicholas (Tera) Hodge, Rachel (Timmy) Elleman, Samuel Fleet, and Hannah (Michael) Hudson; great grandchildren: Tucker, Weston, Harper, Timmy III; sister, Sharon Huntley of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Chrystal; both parents; brother, Ken. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Regency at Grand Blanc – especially Stephanie, Meagan, Wendy, Julius, Ashtyn, and the wonderful rehab staff – you all were so caring and wonderful with our dad. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, Michigan. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 1-8pm and again on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment at Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to a charity of your choice. |
