Bowns, Thomas Irving of Phoenix, Arizona age 76 died December 31, 2018 at his home with his wife Suzanne by his side. Thomas was born in Birch Run, Michigan on April 24th, 1942 to the late Thomas and Loretta. During high school he became a boxing champion. Later he served in the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper and sharpshooter. He then worked at Chevy in the Hole from 1965-1992. Tom also became a ski instructor for the blind, as well as an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer. Honest, kind, considerate and always an optimist, he kept a smile as he battled numerous health issues. Surviving are wife, Suzanne; Sons Tommy and Dean; Step son Kevin. Sisters Bonnie, Susan, and Sandy; Brother Mike; He was preceded in death by his parents Loretta and Thomas Bowns and sister Lorna. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
