BENNETT, William of Flushing, age 87, died Saturday, October 19, 2019 at McLaren-Flint. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 26 at Flushing Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the family’s home until 6 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation.
William was born in Sudbury, Ontario on May 19, 1932 to Charles and Maud (Hughs) Bennett. He married Trudy Gaukler on February 28, 1958 in Windsor, Ontario. He loved traveling with his wife, spending his days building in his workshop and walking countless miles with his friends through the mall. We will miss but always cherish his laughter and quick wit.
He is survived by his children, Chuck (Mary Kay), Diane (Cary) Garner, and Tammy; grandchildren, Ryan, Brittni, Chase, Lukas (Lindsy), Kylie, and Grace; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Finnley; siblings, Don (Carol) Bennett and Kay Stoddard; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Jack, Joan, Ken, and Eileen. |
