MORIN, Donald E. – Of Gaines, age 81, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jim Garfield officiating.
Visitation 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Those desiring may make contributions to Gentiva Hospice or charity of one’s choice.
Donald was born in Flint, Michigan on June 3, 1932, the son of George and Tillie Morin. He was a lifelong resident of the Flint area.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Donald was a journeyman electrician, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the IBEW Local #948.
Surviving are wife, Beverly;
three children, Deborah (Mike),
Michael (Debi) and
Brenda (Doug);
six grandchildren, Brian (Yvonne), Greg (Samantha), Kyle, Kelli, Kristi and Holly;
five great-grandchildren, Gabe, Levi, Ava, Ashton and Jaden;
many nephews, nieces and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, George and Tillie;
brothers, Bill and Charles; sister, Margaret; three grandsons, Ryan, Christopher and Jeffrey.
The family would like to express their gratitude for Don’s care at Genesys and Gentiva Hospice.
