KNICKERBOCKER, Lynn G. – Of Flint, age 72, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Robert L. Dickie, II officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery with military graveside service under the auspices of VFW Chevrolet Motor Post #3087 Honor Guard.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Lynn was born in Flint, Michigan on May 24, 1945, the son of Bruce and Harriet (Harmon) Knickerbocker and grew up in Mt. Morris and Genesee, Michigan.
On January 25, 1969 he married Barbara Mae Stocker in Flint.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
Mr. Knickerbocker was employed by Sears for 40 years.
He was a loving father and husband and was a Christian all his life.
Lynn loved gardening, fishing and hunting.
He was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Grand Blanc.
Surviving are wife, Barbara Mae Knickerbocker;
children, Ryan Knickerbocker,
Gina and husband Mark Cloutier;
brother, Jerry and wife Arlene Knickerbocker and Dennis Knickerbocker;
sister-in-law, Deborah Knickerbocker Norman;
many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Knickerbocker and sister-in-law, Connie Knickerbocker.
