Coffey, Alta Ilene (Tarno) age 90 of Mt. Morris, MI died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Prayer Family Home. Funeral service will be held 3:30 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI. Family will receive visitors from 3 PM until time of service Wednesday. Chaplin Goodman Cox officiating and a private burial will be held in Crestwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics. Envelopes will be provided by funeral home. Alta was born September 1, 1924 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry and Maude (Roy) Good. She and Willard S. Tarno were joined in marriage and he precededher in death. Alta worked for AC Spark Plug for 30 years, retiring in 1979. Alta enjoyed reading, crocheting and bowling. She would later marry Lesley A. coffey and he also preceded her in death. Alta left to cherish her memory her children Willard Ray (Brenda) Tarno, Henry Tarno, Shirley ( Fred) Glomson, 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Alta was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, daughter Barbara Tarno and several brothers and sisters. The family would like to extend special thanks to Prayer Family Home and Theresa Prayer and her staff for the love and care given to Alta. |
