Connie Lee Hammond, 53, of Attica, died Sunday, November 27, 2011. Connie was born April 5, 1958 in Pontiac to Charles and Eva (Pyle) Graves. Mrs. Hammond enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and attending (& cooking at) her grandson's motocross events. She especially loved taking care of, or simply spending time with her grandchildren and family. Mrs. Hammond is survived by husband; Gerald Hammond, Jr. of Attica, parents; Charles & Eva Graves of Attica, children; Brandy Nellenbach of Marine City, Shannon (Glen) Miller of Lapeer, Chad (Krissy) Hammond of Attica, grandchildren; Stephen C., Bryan, Zack, Stone and Caylee Hammond, Andrew & Audrey Miller, two great-grandchildren expected next year and nephews and nieces. Connie was preceded in death by her grandson; Matthew, grandparents; John & Hazel Pyle and Charles & Euline Graves. Visitation will be 4-8pm Monday. Connie's funeral will be 11:00am Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer, Pastor Carl Meyer officiating. Burial in Ortonville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
