REED, Esther Thelma - age 94, of Fenton, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Caretel Inns of Linden. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, March 19, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Fenton. Visitation will be held 2 PM - 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Reverence Hospice. Mrs. Reed was born January 10, 1924 in Valier, MT, the daughter of Wilbur and Martha (DaLager) Ray. She married Lavern D. Reed on November 29, 1947 in Fenton and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2011. Mrs. Reed enjoyed staying active and was a pitcher on the Fenton Recreational Woman's Softball League. She also was on many bowling leagues including Fenton Major Classics, Sunrise League and Morning Glories in Holly. Surviving are: two daughters, Suzanne (Jacob) Elenbaas of FL and Joanne (Ron) Jaeger of Fenton; daughter-in-law, Penny Barclay of Fenton; grandchildren, Jessica Myers, Jacob (Shannon) Elenbaas, Joshua (Michele) Elenbaas, Jonathan (Janet) Elenbaas, Robert Barclay, Barbara Barclay and John (Megan) Jaeger; 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her father, Wilbur Ray; her mother, Martha Field; and her son, Robert Barclay. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
