STURK, Lloyd - Of Flint, age 88, passed peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2019.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Lloyd was born in Flint, Michigan on April 13, 1931, the son of the late Lloyd and Grace (Healy) Sturk.
On June 23, 1951 he married Norma Boger in Flint.
Lloyd was an avid cooker and loved to barbecue. He enjoyed spending time with his family at their cabin up north on the lake in Alpena, fishing and playing Euchre’. Above all he enjoyed being with family and friends.
Lloyd was a plumber for over 60 years and owned two businesses, D&L Plumbing & Heating and Flint Plumbing & Heating.
He was a member of Local #370 for many years.
Surviving are children, Gary and wife Beverly, Brenda Sturk and companion Lamont, Brian and wife Carrie;
grandchildren, Casey and wife Megan, Alexis, Kurtis and wife Jodi, Matthew and wife Sue and Michael;
great-grandchildren; Emilea, Henry, Leona and Skyler;
great-great-granddaughter, Acelyn;
brother, Wayne Sturk;
brother-in-law, John Hendricks;
sisters-in-law, Marie Beaton and June Slavik;
many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma; daughter, Barbara and son, Lloyd Leslie.
