KOVACE, Anne F. (Kovachevich) – Of Flint, age 87, died Friday, April 15, 2011 at Fenton Extended Care Center. Visitation 12 noon Saturday, April 30, 2011 until time of Memorial Service at 1 p.m. at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Roy Horning officiating. A military service will take place following the Memorial Service. Cremation has taken place. Anne was born in Flint, Michigan on July 3, 1923, the daughter of the late Toames (Ivan) and Theresa (Magdich) Kovachevich. She served her country in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1945 in Active Duty as Yeoman 3rd Class and the U.S. Navy Reserves from 1951-1952.
She was a former member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Morris and St. Michael Catholic Church in Flint. Anne was employed by Buick Motor Division in her early years and then retired from the State of Michigan. Surviving are daughter, Joy and husband Gary Burrows; grandsons, Zachary and Jonathan;
nephew, Barry and wife Annette Caslmon;
niece, Cynthia and husband William Coon;
many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Spinney and Katie Caslmon; brothers, Tony, Luka and Peter Kovachevich.
