CHURCH, NEETY P. – Of Flint Township, age 95, died Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Americana Seniors of Davison.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Jared McLeod officiating.
Visitation 11am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shults Lewis Child and Family Services, PO BOX 471, Valparaiso, IN 46384.
Neety was born in Green County, Arkansas on October 2, 1929, the daughter of the late Osmer and Della (Eaker) Herrin.
She attended Lafe High School. In 1946 she married Dormon Church. The same year they came to Flint for Dormon to work at Chevrolet Manufacturing.
She was a longtime member of the Bristol Road Church of Christ. She was a great cook; the family loved her chocolate fried pies.
She traveled a lot, to Alaska, California, Las Vegas, Branson and many more.
Surviving are son, Randy (Judy) Church; grandsons, Aaron (Nicole) and Eric (Bobbi), of MI;
great-grandchildren, Allison (Case) Flanders, Andrew Church, Anna Church (Robby Burk), Conner Church (Riley), Hayden Church and Nolan Church;
great-great-granddaughter, Rosalyn Flanders;
many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dormon in 1976; son, Rick in 1969 in Vietnam; siblings, Cleo Herrin, Geneva Ciecalone, Willie Herrin, Albert Herrin, Deloros Reaves, Dorthy Adams; brothers-in-law, Chuck Adams and Charles Ciecalone; sisters-in-law, Beverly Herrin, Pat Herrin and Versa Herrin.
