KING, Marilyn Lorraine - age 85, of Fenton, died February 6, 2020. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Fr. Bill Wegher celebrant. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a scripture service will be held at 7 PM. Visitation will be held from 10 AM - 11 AM Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Fund. Marilyn was born September 22, 1934 in Flint, the daughter of Raymond and Helen (Horrigan) Hatfield. She married Richard King in 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1982. Marilyn retired from Fenton Area Public Schools where she was a librarian for over 30 years. She was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister taking communion to the sick at Genesys Health Park. Marilyn enjoyed life, family members, and many friends. She was always there to brighten the lives of others. Surviving are: four children, Lorraine (Thomas) Chapman of Durand, Kathleen (Daniel) Breidenstein of MO, Christina King of Fenton, and Richard King of Milford; grandchildren, Angela (Cory) Socia, Katie (Matt) Smith, Kallie King, Margie (Bob) Seitman, Marlene Bach (Matt Cuthbert), Charles Breidenstein, and Joseph (Desiree) Breidenstein; many great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Cauley of Grand Blanc; brother-in-law, Park DesOrmeau of Grand Blanc. She was also preceded in death by: her daughters, Teresa and Jennifer King; granddaughter, Tracie Clark; siblings, Patricia Aldrich, Robert Hatfield, Mary Hatfield, Raymond Hatfield, and Sandra DesOrmeau.
