WALLING, Randall Darwin, of Jackson, age 66, died at the family cottage on Thursday, June 26, 2019. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2019 at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Thoman will officiate. Burial to follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. Sunday, June 30 at Rossell Funeral Home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Randy was born on June 15, 1953 in Flint, Michigan to Darwin and Florence (Hautala) Walling. He worked for over 30 years and retired from Consumers Energy. Randy loved to hunt and to fish. He also enjoyed playing golf and was a talented carpenter. He was a lifelong friend to many and will be deeply missed.
Randall is survived by his wife of 35 years, Teresa; children, Mandy Heikka, Lesley (Jason) Reilly, and Rebekah Walling; grandchildren, Benjamin and Lilian Heikka, and Mckenzie and Hailey Reilly; mother, Florence Marie Walling; siblings, Mark (Barbara) Walling, Lisa (Dan) Davidson, Leslie (Sue) Walling, Brenda Barclay, and Wade Walling; sisters-in-law, Rosalind (Bill) Salbenblatt, Rebecca (Myron) Erexson, Sherry (John) Wills, and Barbara Cook Brown. He was a proud uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Darwin C. Walling; his brother, Bryan C. Walling; and his sister-in-law, Stephanie Munson.
