HENSLER, Virginia A. – Of Swartz Creek, age 76, died Monday, September 19, 2011 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Faith Lutheran Church, 12534 Holly Road, Grand Blanc, Pastor Gerald Harms officiating. Private burial will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Faith Lutheran Church. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mrs. Hensler will be at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service. Virginia was born in Morley, Missouri on March 25, 1935. On March 3, 1979 she married Fred Hensler in Grand Blanc. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She was a volunteer at Genesys and Mid-Michigan Pet Therapy. She loved gardening, golfing and spending time with her family. Surviving are husband, Fred; two sons, Steven (Vanessa) Jones and Fred (Tracy) Hensler; four grandchildren, Morgan and Amanda Jones, Meagan and Lindsay Hensler.
