KURZEJA, Craig Ryan - Age 51, of Fenton, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, October 18, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fenton (The Mass will be live streamed and can be viewed on Craig's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Wednesday from 4-8 PM, Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM; and at church Friday from 10 AM until the time of the Mass. A vigil service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Adopt-A-Pet, 13575 Fenton Road, Fenton, MI 48430 or to Whaley Children's Center, 1201 N. Grand Traverse St., Flint, MI 48503.
Craig was born May 30, 1973 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, the son of David Darwent and Carol Ann House. He was a 1991 graduate of Lakeland High School in White Lake; and he received a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Oakland University. He had resided in the Fenton/Grand Blanc area for the past 22 years. Craig owned and operated Craig Ryan Fine Clothing in Birmingham, Grand Blanc, Harbor Springs and Petoskey. He enjoyed playing hockey and was an avid Detroit sports fan.
Surviving are: his wife, Rebecca; children, Matthew, Alexia, Nicole and Natasha all of Fenton; mother and father, Carol and Patrick Kurzeja of White Lake; father, David Darwent of Ontario, Canada; brothers, Kristof (Amy) Kurzeja of Commerce and Stan Kurzeja of Germany; niece and nephews, Maxwell, Allison, Cameron and Jarek.
