RIENDEAU, Doris M. – of Montrose, age 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, along with her loving furry companion, Buttons, and with family by her side. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2PM Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Fenton Road Baptist Church – G4386 Fenton Rd., Flint, MI 48507. Pastor Michael Stallard officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 9AM until the time of service at 2PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
Doris was born April 10, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Louis and Violet (Gary) Gerow. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1957. Doris married the love of her life, Martin R. Riendeau on March 30, 1957. Together they enjoyed 60 years together before he preceded her in death on April 14, 2017. Mrs. Riendeau was a proud union steward with Paramount Potato Chip Company where she worked for 29 years before retiring in 1992. After retirement, Doris and Martin enjoyed their time in Arizona. She loved bingo, bowling, fishing and singing karaoke. Above all, Doris loved spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are: Children: Susan Moore, Martin Riendeau (companion Becky), Rolland (Dawn) Riendeau, and Christian (Jennifer) Riendeau; 11 Grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; Son in law, Eddie Lake; Sisters: Kay Gerow, and Mary Lou Cobb; Brother, Mike Gerow; Crazy Cat, CC. The family extends a special thank you to caregiver and great granddaughter, Kyra Hanley, and granddaughter, Hannah Koski for all their love, care, and gummy bears.
