Ostrowski, Mary E. of Flushing, age 81, died Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Vicinia Senior Gardens. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Rossell Funeral Home. Fr. Paul Schwermer will officiate. Private burial will take place at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill.
Mary was born in Frankfort, Michigan on March 17, 1932, the daughter of Roy and Helen (MacDonald) Dodge. She married John Ostrowski in Flint on January 15, 1955. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2005.
She is survived by her six children, Margot and husband Glenn Taddeucci, Jane and husband Larry Kelly, Mark and wife Beth Ostrowski, Michael and wife Michele Ostrowski, Laura and husband Jeff Setzke, Lisa and husband Jim McDonell; grandchildren, Jeff, Colleen, Sarah, Kirk, Casey, Meredith, Madeline, Paige, Alyssa, Daniel, Kayla, Chanse, Reiley, Alex. Mary was also preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Bennedict.
